Former girlfriend of sentenced SANDF soldier still living in fear

The former girlfriend of the SANDF soldier who murdered her sister three years ago says she still fears for her life.
Thembinkosi Ngcobo abandoned his post in Upington and drove to Durban - after hearing rumours that his girlfriend Nontokozo Mbamo - was having an affair.
He shot dead Mbambo's sister at their home. Mbambo wasn't home at the time.
Ngcobo also shot and wounded Mbambo's other sister, a neighbour as well as a police officer during his rampage in Inanda and Ntuzuma.
Testifying in aggravation of sentence yesterday Mbambo appeared reserved as she explained how life has been difficult for her since the loss of her loved ones.
While one of sisters was killed by Mbambo on that fateful day - her sister who survived the shooting - -as well as her mother - were killed a year later in a separate shooting.
She told the court that with her sisters and mother having been killed - she's afraid that someone will come for her too.
Mbambo says she has been in hiding since the shooting and hasn't been coping.
Later in the proceedings Ngcobo was handed a life sentence for the murder.
He was slapped with a further 170 years in prison for the attempted murder of three other people and robbery amongst other things.
