Former Cabinet minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi steps down as MP

Another ANC member of Parliament has today tendered his resignation. This brings to four the number of MPs who have resigned in the past two weeks.

Ngoako Ramatlhodi formerly served as the public service and administration minister prior to the latest Cabinet reshuffle. 

The ANC's Nonceba Mhlauli has confirmed the resignation - which is effective from March 31.

"Like many of such similar letters we've received - there were no reasons stated for the resignation. We are not in a position to speculate about the reasons for his decision," she said. 

Former transport minister Dipuo Peters, former energy minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson and former deputy minister of finance Mcebisi Jonas have also left the Parliamentary arena.
