Newswatch arrived on the scene to find that the back of the blue Toyota Corolla had been sprayed with bullets.

KZN police spokesperson, Jay Naicker was at the scene and told Newswatch the car was travelling along Umbilo Road when gunmen in a white vehicle approached it and opened fire.

The bodies of the two men still lay in the car one of them in the driver's seat and the other in the back passenger seat.

Forensics arrived a short while later and began collecting evidence from the scene.

At some point they'd already counted 32 bullet casings that lay scattered around the vehicle.

e-Hailing operators also started arriving on the scene.

One of them told Newswatch the vehicle the victims were in was an e-haling taxi.
