The matter is set down to be heard between August 17 and 28. When the matter was last heard, at the Alexandra Magistrate's Court on May 13, Manqele sat in the dock with her head bowed.
Her face was covered with a scarf as photographers took pictures of her.
Her bail of R10 000 was extended by Magistrate Gideon Scnetler.
The court room's public gallery was filled with journalists and some members of Habedi's family including his younger brother Tshepang.
The Skwatta Kamp musician was stabbed to death at his home in March in the early hours of the morning, allegedly by Manqele.
At the time, police said they were called to his Alexandra home at 4am, where Habedi had been fatally stabbed.
Manqele was arrested and charged with his murder.
During her bail application, her lawyer Amanda Vilakazi submitted an affidavit on her behalf stating she acted in self-defence.
She claimed that she too had sustained injuries.
