A pathologist has testified at the High Court hip hop artist Nkululeko "Flabba" Habedi died from a stab wound to the heart.
Pathologist Thandi Mahululu told the court she had conducted the post mortem on Habedi following his death in March.
She told the court that the wound could have been anything from 10cm deep.
Asked how much force could have been used to inflict the wound, Mahululu told the court the wound was "consistent with considerable force".
She claimed that Habedi's fourth, left rib was also cut by the knife.
She observed that there were no other injuries on the body.
The rap star was stabbed by his girlfriend, Sindisiwe Manqele, after the pair allegedly had an argument at his home in Alexandra.
She is on trial for Habedi's murder.
Manqele has pleaded not guilty to the charge and has alleged that she stabbed him in self-defence.
Nkululeko Chauke, who was friends with both Habedi and Manqele began testifying on Wednesday.
He was expected to be recalled to the stand after the pathologist's testimony.
The trial continues.
