Five killed in crashes on KZN roads

Five people, including two children, have been killed on KZN's roads this weekend.
In the first case, paramedics say two children died in a crash between a truck and three cars on the N11 Amajuba Pass near Newcastle on Saturday.
"Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 4 patients had sustained serious injuries," says Kwa-Zulu Private Ambulance spokesperson Craig Botha.
"The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment."
Botha says in another crash, three people were killed in a collision between three vehicles on the R34 Utrecht road on Saturday night.
"Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that one patient had sustained critical injuries, and one patient had sustained serious injuries."
