Five injured in crash with elephant on R71 in Limpopo

An elephant which wandered onto the R71 in Limpopo is suspected to be the cause of a crash which left five people injured.
Two bakkies collided with the animal on the R71 in Gravelotte on Wednesday evening.
Spokesperson for the provincial transport and community safety department, Tidimalo Chuene says one of the vehicles involved in the crash was a police van.

"An elephant was killed on road R71 next to Gravelotte in Mopane District after an accident involving two bakkies.
"Five people, including the two drivers, sustained minor injuries. It is suspected the accident was caused by the animal on the road”.
The patients were transported to nearby hospitals for medical care.
