Five arrested in Durban anti-drug police operation
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Police have swooped on a number of properties in Wentworth, nabbing five suspects on various charges including drug possession.
The police's Thulani Zwane says it's part of their Zero Tolerance Operation to crack down on drug dealing and gang-related violence plaguing the Durban south community.
Cocaine, more than 5000 heroine capsules, dagga, stolen phones and three unlicensed guns - were among the items seized.

Zwane says the suspects aged between 20 and 40 will line up in court tomorrow.
"It's known that Wentworth has a problem with drugs and gangsterism as well. That is why our police officers started to do their intensive investigation in that area to get rid of drugs as well as firearms. At this stage, we don't know whether this suspect who is still at large is part of the syndicate or not," Zwane said.
