Five arrested for deadly Eastern Cape mass shooting

Eastern Cape police have arrested five people in connection with this week's mass shooting in KwaNobuhle in Kariega, which left six people dead.

Police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu says the arrests were made in the early hours of Thursday morning.
"The suspects, aged between 21 and 34, were arrested in Kwanobuhle and Arcadia in Bethelsdorp, respectively.

"The incident is suspected to be drug related. They are detained on charges of six counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder.
"The suspects are expected to appear in the KwaNobuhle Magistrate Court soon."
