Fire breaks out at popular fast-food joint in Pinetown

Four people have been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a fast-food restaurant in Pinetown.

ALS paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says they were called out to the outlet on Bamboo Lane on Friday.

"On arrival, together with the Durban Fire Department paramedics found smoke smouldering from the building.
"Whilst the Durban Fire Department worked to investigate and extinguish the blaze, paramedics treated four occupants that are employees of the actual outlet before two were transported to a nearby hospital for smoke inhalation injuries.
"At this stage, the events leading up to the fire are unknown; however, all necessary were in attendance and will be investigating further."
