Final push to register 1-million new potential KZN voters
Updated | By Christopher Motabogi

KZN political parties are having a last push in attempts to ensure that potential voters get their names on the voters roll.
ANC Treasurer General Doctor Zweli Mkhize, who's been deployed to the province, says young people must demonstrate a keen interest to vote for change at local government level.
"We want young people to know that it's one of their most important responsibilities as citizens to register and vote," he said.
The DA's Provincial Chairperson, Haniff Hoosen says the party has noted a change in what, he says, was apathy among potential Indian voters.
"There's an air of excitement out there and it's very encouraging that thousands of residents living in eThekwini are finally taking an active interest in who runs their city and are getting out there to register," he said.
Hoosen will be officially unveiled as the DA's eThekwini Mayoral candidate on Friday.
The EFF's Vusi Khoza says his party is happy with the voter turnout thus far.
