Fifth learner involved in Ntuzuma crash, dies

It's been confirmed a fifth pupil who was injured in a horrific crash north of Durban nearly two weeks ago - has died.
The Sivananda High School pupil died in hospital, yesterday.
Another four learners died on scene after the taxi they were travelling collided with a bus in Ntuzuma - on the first day of the school year.
They were laid to rest at the weekend.
The Education department's Kwazi Mthethwa says they learnt of the death from the school's principal.
"As the Department of Education in KZN, we are saddened that a fifth child has passed on, yesterday. We have sent a team to go and meet with the family, and the school that is affected - so that they are able to arrange both a funeral and a memorial service," he said.

Mthethwa extended his condolences - on behalf of the department - to the family of the deceased learner, the school, and fellow learners.
