Fewer than 100 new Covid-19 cases in every province

Statistics released by the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) on Sunday show that none of South Africa’s nine provinces recorded more than 100 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday.
A total of 414 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded during the latest 24-hour period.
The Western Cape accounts for 22% of the cases, followed by Gauteng with 21% and KwaZulu-Natal with16% of new cases.

New Covid-19 fatalities have also shown one of the lowest rates since the country came out of the third wave, with only 25 deaths reported.
A total of 22,964 tests were conducted in the last 24hrs with 414 new cases, which represents a 1.8% positivity rate. A further 25 #COVID19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 88,612 to date. Read more here: https://t.co/xDWUTsRVXL pic.twitter.com/Di23eqDCpe
