Festive holidays may see drop in tourist traffic in KZN
Updated | By Newswatch
The KZN Tourism Authority has forecast a significant drop in the number of local visitors expected to make their way to KZN for the year-end holidays.

It says we could see the arrival of less than 750 000 tourists over the festive period.
It's a massive drop compared to last year's 6.2 million.

The Authority says this can be attributed to the impact Covid-19's had on jobs and the fact that schools and some companies are closing later than usual.
It says international tourists will be affected too, as some countries haven't approved visits to South Africa.
Last year, KZN brought in some 14 billion from international and domestic tourism.
