#FeesMustFall protests intensify

It appears all Stellenbosch University students who occupied the administration building on campus, have now been forcibly removed from the premises by police.

Several Maties students staged a sit in from yesterday in solidarity with the nationwide protests over tuition fees increases at universities.
Stellenbosch University management then obtained a court order against students.
Journalism student, Nicola Joe Bruns, is our eyes and ears on the ground.
Stellenbosch University's Martin Viljoen says they remain committed to engaging with students.
''I have to add that no final decision has been taken on the students fees for 2016 although an increase of 11,5% is proposed to the council.
''We'll consider the 2016 budget and also increase the student fee and that will only happen in November and so yes there is definitely still room for management to further discuss that with students,'' he said.
