Family shot and killed in Lusikisiki

Police in the Eastern Cape have launched a manhunt after five family members were gunned down at their homestead in Lusikisiki.

A community member alerted officials to the shooting after hearing gunshots in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The victims are aged between nine and 78.

Police say two children, aged one and eight, managed to escape unharmed.
The motive for the killings is unknown and the names of the deceased are being withheld until next of kin have been informed.
