Family of seven dies in Eastern Cape house fire

Seven people - including children - from one family in the Eastern Cape have died after their home was engulfed by flames in a village near Willowvale, south of Mthatha.
Emergency services raced to the scene at about 4 this morning.
Police say a 56-year-old woman, her 28-year-old daughter and five young siblings aged between three and 14 had been sleeping when the fire started.

SAPS spokesperson, Thembinkosi Kinana says a neighbour heard their screams for help.
"The provincial commissioner has immediately commissioned an in depth investigation into the situation. As of now, we do not know what led to this fire. to make sure that we get to the bottom of whatever has happened," Kinana said.
