The families of three Newcastle schoolgirls - who were found after they were taken by hijackers in Madadeni - say they're thankful that the children weren't harmed.

Police found the six, nine and 11-year-olds in a house in the Osizweni area.
Nazia Jama, her sister Naseem and their cousin Muneera were being driven to school along with three other cousins yesterday, when they were stopped by the hijackers.
They had pretended to have car trouble.

The driver and older children were held at gunpoint and forced out of the vehicle.
The three girls weren't able to get out in time. Police arrested four suspects at the house in Osizweni last night. Nazia and Naseem's older sister, Farida says they are overjoyed that the girls are safe.
Police say the men aged between 20 and 26 will face charges of carjacking, kidnapping, human trafficking and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
