Family mourns Durban activist Satish Dhupelia

Durban activist and great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Satish Dhupelia, is being cremated this afternoon.
He suffered a heart attack in hospital yesterday - after he was admitted for COVID-19-related health complications.
Three weeks before that he was in hospital receiving treatment for pneumonia.
Dhupelia who manages the Gandhi Development Trust Outreach Programme was 66.

His aunt, Ela Gandhi says the family is devastated.
"He was a person who was always vibrant, he did everything with love for people and for the work that he did. He was in many institutions and had thousands of people around him," said Gandhi.
"He had a very good outreach programme which he ran where he gave food parcels to people."
