Friends, colleagues in shock after Durban pilot's tragic death
Friends and colleagues of a Durban North pilot killed during an airshow in China at the weekend say they've been left devastated by the tragedy.
Michel Leusch died in a crash at an aerobatic display in the Gansu province.
The 33-year-old was participating in the Silk Road International General Aviation Convention.
The former world champion stunt pilot lived in Glenashley.
Stuart Low, a pilot at the Virginia Airport, says he'd known Leusch for about seven years. He says he had a deep passion for aviation.
The Durban Sky Grand Prix's Roger Deare says the 33-year-old's death is a massive loss to the aviation community.
