KwaZulu-Natal police are hunting for at least three men in connection
with the death of three members of a family in Durban central.
Police believe the three were killed in a gang-related shooting.
According to police, a man, his brother and his two children came under fire while they were seated inside their car outside a scrap metal yard on the corner of Mazeppa and Pickering streets in Point.
Netcare's Shawn Herbst says the two men died on the scene while the children, a girl aged 17 and a boy aged 12, were seriously injured.
"The minor female had sustained critical injuries and was rushed to hospital. The minor male had sustained serious injuries and was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital for further care.

"They are all related, it was believed that the driver and the passenger were brothers and the two kids at the back were children of the two adults in the front."
Police say the teenage girl succumbed to her injuries in hospital after being shot in the chest.
They say while the motive is unknown at this stage, gangsterism cannot be ruled out.
