Fake Durban cop in trouble with the law
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
A 28-year-old woman is facing charges of impersonating a police officer after being arrested in the Durban CBD yesterday afternoon.
According to the SAPS, she was spotted by Durban Central Field Unit members who were patrolling along Victoria Street yesterday afternoon.
The police's Thulani Zwane says unit members noticed the woman's suspicious behaviour.
"The members approached the woman and when they questioned her, she admitted that she is not a police officer but she was wearing a uniform belonging to her father. Therefore, she was arrested for impersonating a police officer," she said.
