Eyewitness helps find abducted PMB kids
Updated | By Portia Cele

On Monday, four children were kidnapped during assembly by armed men at Dalton Primary near Wartburg.
The Department of Social Development spokesperson Ncumisa Fandesi says the four learners are part of a group of 62 that were rescued by officials from an illegal boarding house thought to be a religious cult in Umzimkhulu two years ago.
She says a license registration number taken down from one of the getaway vehicles by a witness helped police find the children aged between six and 11 years.
"This was then traced to a particular person in the area who co-operated with the police and told them that it was his car but was not being driven by him on the day of the incident. Police then followed these clues and found the children with their parents," she said.
Fandesi says the children who were removed from their parents supervision have been living at one of their safety shelters:
"The law does not allow the removal, in any manner, of children in protective custody," she said.
