Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
The recent natural disasters in KwaZulu-Natal have not only had a devastating impact on many families - it's left the province with a damage bill of around R560 million.

KZN Premier, Sihle Zikalala says those preliminary costs are set to climb.
Zikalala says mop-up operations have not stopped since thunderstorms and several tornadoes hit parts of the province.
He says they are trying to assist as many storm victims as they can before Christmas.
Zikalala says the disasters affected all corners of the province.
"The preliminary figures are standing as follows; 31 fatalities and 135 injuries were reported, 3 072 households were affected. Lastly, 15 540 people were affected. So that's the state in which this has affected our province," he said.
Zikalala addressed the media after Wednesday's EXCO meeting in Durban.
