Extradition of AKA murder suspects ‘could take months’
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
A legal expert says the process to extradite two suspects from eSwatini should take about a month.
The men were nabbed in connection with the murders of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and Tebello Motsoane.
They were gunned down outside a restaurant on Florida Road last year.
Five other suspects appeared in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Thursday to answer to a range of charges, including murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

They all intend to apply for bail.
Legal expert Sunil Singh says the group must convince the court why they should be granted bail.
"The chances of them being released on bail is going to be an onerous task for them, to show to the court that they are discharging the onus that has been placed on them to demonstrate there are exceptional circumstances present."
