Explainer: How to get your Covid-19 digital vaccination certificate
Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
The Health Department has officially launched the digital vaccination certificates website for adults in South Africa who are fully vaccinated.

On Thursday, many experienced glitches and errors as they tried to download the document.
However, Health Minister Joe Phaahla gave the assurance on Friday morning that the site was still in the testing phase up until its official launch.
The site can be accessed here.
To get your certificate, you will need your South African ID number or foreign passport number, the cell phone number you used to register for vaccination, and the vaccination code from the SMS you received after vaccination.
Those who don't have their vaccination code should contact the Covid-19 Public Hotline at 0800 029 999.
