Experts, engineers to brainstorm solutions to eThekwini infrastructure crisis
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
Seventeen experts, including engineers, will convene virtually on Wednesday to brainstorm potential solutions to eThekwini's infrastructure challenges.
The eThekwini United Ratepayers Business and Civics Organisation’s Allison Schoeman has been putting together a team to highlight water and sewage issues that need attention.
"In collaboration with ActionSA, who have organised a team of legal experts in handling infrastructure-related legal challenges, we are well prepared to navigate the complexities involved in securing necessary access to critical sites.

"The legal team’s expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our efforts to advocate for budget allocations are grounded in a robust legal framework."
Schoeman says they'll hand their findings over to the municipality.
"Our assessments will serve as the basis for negotiations with the city on reallocating funds where they are most needed. Should these negotiations prove unproductive, we are prepared to take legal steps to require both the municipality and national treasury to act on our findings."
