Expert on curbing school dropout rate
Updated | By Zongile Mthimkhulu
A Social Sciences researcher feels the best way to address the issue of school drop-outs is to pump more money into education.

Palesa Sekhajane has been speaking to Newswatch after a United Nations panel on education sat yesterday at the World Social Sciences Forum in Durban.
"[It requires] Mobilisation of funds to actually make sure that access to education becomes affordable or even free.
Not just free education but free quality education. It should not be for the selected few," she said.
A recent Institute of Race Relations report suggests nearly half of all children enrolled in Grade 1 do not reach matric.
