Ex-Msunduzi mayor’s son out on bail for R1.5m fraud

A fraud case against the son of Msunduzi's former mayor has been postponed until next year for further investigation.
Businessman Nzuzo Njilo, the son of Themba Njilo, was granted bail of R10 000 in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
Spokesperson for the NPA in KZN, Natasha Kara, says he is accused of committing business fraud to the tune of R1.5 million during a truck sale with another Durban businessman.

"One of the bail conditions is that he hands over his travel documentation within 48 hours of paying his bail. A further condition is that he does not interfere with or communicate with witnesses.
"The matter has been remanded to 15 February 2024 for further investigations."
