Event organisers investigated in fatal Hartbeespoort Dam boat fire

An investigation into a boat fire that resulted in the deaths of four people will now include the owners of the boat club and event organisers, police authorities say.
At the weekend, three people drowned and one person burned to death, after a boat caught alight on the Hartbeespoort Dam, in the North West.

About 200 passengers were aboard the leisure cruiser on the Hartbeespoort Dam when the boat burst into flames on Saturday.
Emergency workers, and civilians rushed to the aid of the passengers on Saturday.
The office of the North West Premier have sent their condolences to the families of the victims.
Police say the cause of the fire is still not known at this stage.
