Ethiopian airline commences flights to Durban
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
King Shaka International Airport will today welcome the first direct flight from Addis Ababa into Durban through Ethiopian airlines.
The airline is the third international carrier to commit to putting a direct flight into King Shaka this year.
The province's Economic Development and Tourism Department says this move feeds into the vision of the airport being a gateway to the African continent.
King Shaka's Collins Naidoo says they're excited about the development as Durban is increasingly connecting to various destinations around the world.
"People are coming to KZN and South African - seeing what we have to offer and liking it. That's creating an increase. Durban is becoming very connected through these international airlines," he said.
