eThekwini in talks with striking bus drivers
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
The municipality says the issue on the table relates to delays in setting up a municipal bus entity.
Spokesperson Tozi Mthethwa says they are busy with the talks at various levels of government to continue that project.
"The efforts directed at reassuring bus drivers that whatever delay there is it will not and should not affect them negatively in terms of their careers or anything that they may be worried about" she said.
However, she says there will be some buses on the roads today.
"This morning the situation is that we are operating a very limited service due to the low bus driver turn-out at the depots. We hope to continue to engage today going forward" she said.
