eThekwini services to remain open during lockdown
All essential municipal services in eThekwini will remain operational during the three-week coronavirus lockdown.
This is according to Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda.
Ratepayers are encouraged to use online payment options - as the Sizakala centres and banking halls will offer limited services.
Kaunda says only a number of municipal busses will run to ferry workers classified as essential services to and from work.
Access to cemeteries will be restricted - and burial will be restricted to family members - with not more than 20 people allowed.

Community halls, parks and nature reserves will be shut throughout the lockdown.
The City has again warned it won't be lenient to anyone found swimming in public pools or beaches.
The swimming ban was imposed last week - after the President announced a series of measures to combat the spread of the virus.
Spokesperson, Msawakhe Mayisela says law enforcement officers have been instructed to act without fear or favour.
"We are pulling out all the stops to ensure our city contributes tremendously in the county's struggle to combat this virus."
"We are trying to level best to ensure that we minimise as possible chances of our resident to be infected by this virus."
