eThekwini rolls out eco-friendly toilets
As part of an initiative to eliminate pit latrines, eThekwini Municipality says it'll start rolling out eco-friendly toilets next month.
The city says the campaign promotes a healthy environment and good personal hygiene.

Spokesperson Lindiwe Khuzwayo says areas including uMlazi and Verulam have already received these toilets.
“Communities in several parts of eThekwini have begun to enjoy the dignity of decent sanitation with the construction of eco-friendly toilets as part of Alternative Sanitation Technologies."
