Officials in eThekwini says the number of rabies cases in the city is on the rise.

They say there have been seven confirmed cases in eThekwini since January, with two of them reported just last week.
According to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases, 17 human rabies cases have been reported in South Africa so far this year.
Six of the cases were confirmed last month and this month.
eThekwini Municipality is asking residents to be extra careful.
City spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela has urged pet owners to get their dogs and cats vaccinated for rabies.
"We are appealing to the public to work with us to arrest the spread of this virus and we must all be mindful of the fact that this virus is fatal.
"In the event that anyone is bitten by a dog, we must ensure that they rush to the nearest health care facility to get medical help.
"And we are therefore appealing to the public to heed this call so that eventually we prevent the spread of this deadly virus."
