The eThekwini mayor's spokesperson Mthunzi Gumede says they want as many people as possible to raise their collective voice against women and child abuse.

Gumede says it's an issue that continues to grow in our province.

"We're calling on society to be part of this march. The message is - enough is enough. This must end now. We're expecting 10 000 people to be part of the march which will be led by the Premier. We hope to see more councillors coming from outside eThekwini," he said.

The march is expected to start at King Dinizulu Park at 09h00, proceed to Pixley ka Seme, via Samora Machel and end at the Gugu Dlamini Park. The road will be temporarily closed.
