Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
EThekwni Metro police say they’re ready for the influx of visitors to Durban and the activities planned across the city, ahead of the festive season.
The country remains under level 1 of the coronavirus lockdown. Authorities say they’re prepared for any eventuality.
Speaking at a community Awareness outreach programme in Durban North yesterday Metro's Zamaswazi Dlamini says festive operations have already started.
"We have started already by reintroducing roadblocks. They were put on hold during higher levels of lockdown", she said.
"We will arrest people for being over the alcohol legal limit and if you cannot be subjected to a breathalyser we will be using blood samples to get an alcohol reading.
