eThekwini intensifies water relief efforts as interruptions continue

eThekwini Municipality says it's now doubling its efforts to provide water to areas affected by supply interruptions.
The City says a water pump at Inanda Dam has failed, affecting supply to parts of the city.
Municipal spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela say they are aware of the public's frustration.
"We are doing everything in our power to ensure that we deliver water to our communities that are through our water tankers.
"We are also aware that there are certain areas that may be battling in this regard in accessing water tankers and we are stretched to our limits.
"But nevertheless, we are now considering to argument the number of water tankers on the ground so that we are able to meet the needs of all the members of the community.
"We are therefore appealing to the public to bear with us, it's the situation that is beyond our control, which is not our making."
