eThekwini has highest number of TB cases - Mabuza
From the eight metros in the country, eThekwini Municipality has reported the highest number of TB cases.
This according to Deputy President David Mabuza who had been speaking at a World TB Day commemoration.
The metro that has the highest number of people with TB is the eThekwini Metro. The Premier has already said that you're going to be number one in fighting everything - starting from TB and HIV. Unfortunately, you're number one," Mabuza said.

Mabuza has also said that government's strategic plans for HIV, TB and STDs - will be implemented soon.
"The implementation of this plan will be ready by the end of this month. We must be ready to hit the ground running," he said.
Tuberculosis is the leading cause of death in South Africa - 75% of all TB cases are related to HIV.
