Essex Terrace interchange in Westville to undergo upgrade
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Construction to expand the busy crossing at the M13/ Essex Terrace interchange in Westville is due to begin next week.

The eThekwini Transport Authority says the aim of the project is to ease traffic flow in the area.
It will take an estimated two years to complete - at a cost of more than R120-million.
The authoritiy's Thami Manyathi says local contractors will assist in the expansion programme.
"We will be adding different ramps to link to the mall and adding lanes on the ramps to improve traffic flow around and through the interchange itself," Manyathi said.
Ward 30 councillor, Warren Burne says the development's long overdue.
"The interchange is under capacity for the amount of traffic that it takes. It is the interchange that feeds traffic through to the UKZN Westville campus and the Westwood Mall Shopping Centre.
"There is also a new residential development happening right next to Westwood Mall, so it is a much-needed upgrade," Burne said.
