Eskom to suspend load shedding on Sunday evening
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
In an unexpected move Eskom announced it will suspend load shedding on Sunday evening.

The rolling blackouts will come to an end at 9pm on Sunday.
Initially the utility had announced that stage 2 would last until at least Monday morning.
Eskom had said it was due to failure of generation units at several power stations.
Spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says generational reserves have sufficiently recovered.
"Eskom is anticipating returning to service approximately 4 000 Megawatts of generation capacity by Monday evening which will further ease constraints.
"At Medupi power station the coal supply has normalised and the generation unit has returned to service. While load shedding has been suspended Eskom appeals to all to use electricity sparingly."
