Eskom to reduce load shedding to stage 5 at midnight

Eskom has announced that load shedding will drop to stage five from midnight.

That's one down from the current stage six.
The power utility says a unit each at Camden, Kriel, Kusile and Kendal power stations returned to power overnight.

Spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says Duvha lost a unit after a boiler tube leak was detected.
"This means we will be able to reduce load shedding to stage 5 at midnight. Further updates will be announced as soon as possible.
"Planned outage are 5 411MW and breakdowns currently amount to 16 326MW."
