Eskom: Stage 5 & 4 load shedding over weekend
Updated | By Newswatch
Load shedding will be reduced to stage 4 from 5 on Saturday morning until 5am on Sunday.
From Sunday morning through to Monday, it will be implemented in Stage 3.
Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says we can expect stage 3 rolling blackouts for most of next week as there are still generation capacity shortages.

"The capacity constraints will persist throughout next week, and current indications are that load shedding will be implemented at stage 3 for most of the week.
"A further update will be published on Sunday afternoon, or as soon as there are any significant changes. The load shedding over the weekend will be used to replenish the pumped storage dam levels, which have been utilised extensively over the past week.”
