Eskom says striking workers are back to work
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Eskom's employees have started returning to work after embarking on a strike action which plunged the country into stage 6 load shedding.

Spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha confirmed the workers' return on Wednesday.
"Its employees are peacefully returning to work since last night and there are no incidents of any protests have been reported so far today."
The unprotected strikes have forced Eskom to put the country under stage 6 load shedding on Tuesday night after workers in a number of its power stations downed tools.

It's since been downgraded to stage 4.
The management of Eskom and trade unions have been locked in wage discussions.
Mantshantsha says details about the wage agreement will be announced soon.
"The details of the wage offer will be made public on Friday at the Central Bargaining Forum."
