Eskom ramps load shedding up to stage 6
Eskom has pushed load shedding up to stage six from midday on Wednesday.
Stage 6 will last “until further notice”, the power utility said.
"This is due to a high number of breakdowns since midnight, as well as the requirement to strictly preserve the remaining emergency generation reserves," says the power utility's spokesperson, Sikonathi Mantshansha.
