Eskom ramps up load shedding to stage 4 on Friday

More unit breakdowns and dwindling diesel stocks are to blame for the latest round of rolling blackouts by Eskom.
Spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says the utility ramped up load shedding to stage 4 on Friday morning, but can't say how long it'll last.

"Breakdowns amounting to 17 056MW of generation capacity, low pumped storage dam levels and lack of diesel are the reasons for the increase in load shedding."
