Eskom ramps up blackouts to stage 4
Updated | By Newswatch
Eskom has ramped up load shedding to stage 4 between 1pm and 10pm on Saturday.
The stage 4 load shedding will then continue on Sunday between 08:00 and 22:00.
Eskom said the rolling blackouts is due to higher than anticipated demand, as well as some units which had tripped.
It comes as the country is gripped by icy weather with disruptive rain predicted in the storm-battered KwaZulu-Natal.
Premier Sihle Zikalala said earlier in the week the province’s emergency services were on full alert.
