Eskom pushes load shedding to stage 6
South Africans woke up to bad news as they prepare to celebrate Reconciliation Day on Friday.
Eskom has ramped up load shedding to stage 6, saying the move was necessary due to the failure of eight generating units overnight.
The utility's warned its emergency generation reserves are almost depleted.
It says it'll publish more details as they become available.
