Eskom implements stage 6 load shedding, blames ongoing wage strike
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Eskom says stage 6 load shedding will be implemented on Thursday and Friday.
Eskom has blamed the ongoing industrial action for its decision to implement stage 6 load shedding.
The embattled power utility reduced power cuts to stage 4 just after midnight on Thursday.
Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says the high levels of staff absenteeism and intimidation of non-striking workers are crippling operations at power plants.
A minimum of stage 4 load shedding is expected over the weekend.
