Eskom extends stage 3 load shedding 'until further notice'
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Embattled power utility Eskom extended the implementation of stage 3 load shedding on Thursday.

Eskom earlier said there would be a break from the power cuts between midnight until 4pm on Wednesday, when stage 3 would be implemented until midnight.
However, stage 3 was to return on Thursday afternoon to midnight, while on Friday, the rolling blackouts will be on stage 2 from 4pm.
Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says stage 3 load shedding has now been extended due to the failure of two units.
"Due to the failure of two units at Kendal Power Station and a unit each at Kriel and Arnot power stations, Stage 3 load shedding has been extended from 05:00 today until further notice. A full statement will be published during the day."
